If an individual is a citzen or resident of the U.S. and they meet the filing requirements, they must file a federal individual income tax return.

There are several factors that determine filing requirements.

After determining which form(s) you would need, we will ensure that you gather the necessary tax return recordsobtain all necessary signatures on the return and file the returns with the Internal Revenue Servies (IRS) before the due date.

That's the bottom line, if you want to get a tax rebate courtesy of The Economic Growth Act of 2008, enacted Feb. 13.

The act, designed to stimulate the economy, will provide one-time payments of as much as $600 per person and $1,200 per couple to most Americans.

When rebates will be sent

The IRS says that people who file their tax returns by April 15 will begin to receive them in May. We expect the IRS to give a more detailed timetable later, saying just when filers can expect their refunds. Check back here for more details.

IMPORTANT: Many people who don’t normally need to file an income tax return will qualify for a rebate.
